Grilled chicken in a creamy tomato curry sauce

Chicken tikka masala marries the Indian tandoori tradition with a creamy sauce and became world-famous above all through British-Indian cooking.

Marinated, grilled chicken steeps in a sauce of tomato, cream and spices – mild-spicy and a favourite on any curry menu.

Ingredients

  • Chicken breast, cubed600 g
  • Yoghurt150 g
  • Passata400 g
  • Cream150 ml
  • Garam masala, cumin, paprika1 tsp each
  • Ginger-garlic paste2 tbsp
  • Onion & butter1 / 2 tbsp

Preparation

  1. Marinate the chicken in yoghurt and half the spices.

  2. Sear or grill the pieces until coloured.

  3. Sweat onion in butter, toast the remaining spices.

  4. Add tomato and reduce, then stir in the cream.

  5. Fold in the chicken, let steep, serve with rice.
