Genmaicha

Japanese green tea with roasted brown rice

Genmaicha combines green tea with roasted brown rice and was originally a thrifty everyday tea. Today it is prized for its nutty aroma.

The roasted rice lends the brew a warm, grainy note and softens the tea's astringency – an easy, gentle tea for any time of day.
