Teh Tarik

Malaysian “pulled” milk tea

Teh tarik – “pulled tea” – is Malaysia's unofficial national drink and a fixture of the mamak stalls. Its name comes from the theatrical pouring.

The brewed black tea is poured back and forth between two vessels with sweetened condensed milk until a frothy crown forms.
