Taiwanese beef in a scallion pancake

Niu rou juan bing is a Taiwanese roll in which braised beef is wrapped in a crisp scallion pancake.

With hoisin sauce, cucumber and spring onion it makes a popular snack with a sweet-savoury taste.

Ingredients

  • Braised beef300 g
  • Scallion pancakes3 pieces
  • Hoisin sauce3 tbsp
  • Cucumber1 piece
  • Spring onion3 stalks
  • Coriandersome

Preparation

  1. Fry the pancakes crisp.

  2. Brush with hoisin sauce.

  3. Lay sliced braised beef on top.

  4. Add cucumber, spring onion and coriander.

  5. Roll up tightly and cut into pieces.
