Sizzling beef steak with fried egg

Bo ne is a Vietnamese breakfast of tender beef steak and fried egg on a sizzling cast-iron plate.

It comes with baguette to dip in the savoury sauce, a legacy of French colonial times.

  • Sliced beef steak300 g
  • Eggs2
  • Oyster & soy sauce1 tbsp each
  • Baguette1
  • Onion & garlicsome of each
  • Tomato & saladto serve

Preparation

  1. Marinate the beef with oyster and soy sauce.

  2. Heat the cast-iron plate very hot.

  3. Sear the beef briefly.

  4. Add the eggs and let set.

  5. Serve sizzling with baguette and salad.
