Creamy chicken curry in a clay pot

Chicken handi is a Pakistani chicken curry made in the namesake clay pot, the handi.

Yogurt, cream and tomatoes make a rich, spiced sauce around the tender chicken.

Ingredients

  • Chicken pieces800 g
  • Yogurt150 g
  • Tomatoes300 g
  • Cream100 ml
  • Ginger-garlic paste & chilisome of each
  • Garam masala & coriandersome of each

Preparation

  1. Marinate the chicken with ginger-garlic and yogurt.

  2. Sear in the pot with tomatoes.

  3. Season with spices and simmer.

  4. Stir in the cream.

  5. Cook until the sauce is creamy and serve with coriander.
