Mild soybean paste soup with vegetables

Doenjang guk is an everyday Korean soup based on fermented soybean paste.

Milder than the stew doenjang jjigae, it is often made with spinach or radish and tofu.

Ingredients

  • Doenjang (soybean paste)2 tbsp
  • Dried anchovy broth700 ml
  • Spinach or radish200 g
  • Tofu150 g
  • Garlic & spring onionsome of each
  • Chili1

Preparation

  1. Heat the anchovy broth and dissolve the doenjang in it.

  2. Add the vegetables and cook.

  3. Add the tofu in cubes.

  4. Season with garlic and chili.

  5. Serve with spring onion.
