Indonesian avocado coconut iced dessert

Es teler is a refreshing Indonesian iced dessert of avocado, young coconut flesh and jackfruit in sweetened coconut milk.

Served over crushed ice, it is a creamy-sweet treat for hot days - crowned a national dessert in the 1980s.

Ingredients

  • Ripe avocado1 piece
  • Young coconut flesh150 g
  • Jackfruit100 g
  • Coconut milk200 ml
  • Condensed milk3 tbsp
  • Crushed iceplenty

Preparation

  1. Cut avocado, coconut flesh and jackfruit into pieces.

  2. Stir coconut milk with condensed milk.

  3. Fill glasses with crushed ice.

  4. Add the fruit on top.

  5. Pour over the sweet coconut milk and serve at once.
