Braised mackerel with radish
Godeungeo jorim is a savoury Korean braise of mackerel and radish in a spicy chili-soy sauce.
The radish soaks up the bold sauce while the mackerel turns tender and aromatic - a nourishing family dish.

- Mackerel (in pieces)2 pieces
- Radish300 g
- Gochugaru (chili flakes)2 tbsp
- Soy sauce3 tbsp
- Garlic & gingersome of each
- Spring onion2 stalks

Preparation
Lay thick radish slices in the pot.
Bed the mackerel pieces on top.
Pour over a sauce of gochugaru, soy, garlic and ginger.
Braise covered with a little water.
Spoon sauce over the fish, serve with spring onion.
