Mongolian stew cooked with hot stones
Khorkhog is a Mongolian festive dish in which lamb is cooked together with glowing hot stones in a container.
The stones release their heat from within, making the meat juicy and smoky.

- Lamb on the bone1.5 kg
- Smooth river stonesseveral
- Potatoes & carrots500 g

Preparation
Heat the stones glowing hot in a fire.
Layer lamb, vegetables and hot stones.
Season with salt, pepper and a little water.
Seal the container tightly.
Steam tender for about two hours and open carefully.
