Korean rice with beans

Kongbap is steamed Korean rice cooked together with beans.

The beans give the rice more bite and nutrition, making it a healthy base for any meal.

Ingredients

  • Short-grain rice300 g
  • Mixed beans (e.g. soybeans, kidney)150 g
  • Wateras needed
  • Pinch of salt1 pinch

Preparation

  1. Soak the beans for a few hours.

  2. Pre-cook the beans until almost soft.

  3. Mix with washed rice.

  4. Start with water in the right ratio.

  5. Steam and fluff before serving.
