Kopi

Kopitiam-style coffee from Singapore

Kopi is the traditional coffee of the kopitiams of Singapore and Malaysia, roasted with sugar and a little margarine.

Classically drunk with sweetened condensed milk, it is customised with order terms like kopi C or kopi O.

Ingredients

  • Coarsely ground kopi coffee4 tbsp
  • Hot water300 ml
  • Sweetened condensed milk3 tbsp
  • Cloth filter bag1

Preparation

  1. Put the coffee into the cloth filter.

  2. Brew with hot water.

  3. Let it steep for a few minutes.

  4. Put condensed milk into the cups.

  5. Pour in the coffee and stir well.
