Myeolchi Bokkeum
Glazed little anchovies
Myeolchi bokkeum is a crisp Korean side dish of tiny dried anchovies.
They are fried in a sweet and salty glaze of soy sauce and syrup and sprinkled with sesame.

Ingredients
- Dried small anchovies150 g
- Soy sauce1 tbsp
- Rice syrup or honey2 tbsp
- Garlic2 cloves
- Sesame & sesame oilsome of each
- Oil1 tbsp

Preparation
Dry-toast the anchovies briefly.
Fry the garlic in oil.
Reduce soy sauce and syrup into a glaze.
Toss the anchovies in it until glossy.
Finish with sesame and sesame oil.
