Mixed rice plate from Indonesia

Nasi campur means mixed rice and is found across Indonesia, especially in the Balinese version with many small sides.

Around a mound of rice gather meat, vegetables, sambal, peanuts and an egg - each region and family has its own line-up.

Preparation

  1. Season and fry the chicken.

  2. Briefly cook the vegetables, boil the eggs.

  3. Prepare the sambal.

  4. Place the rice in the centre of the plate.

  5. Arrange the sides around it and serve.
