Nasi Kandar

Penang rice with mixed curries

Nasi kandar is a famous dish of Penang's Tamil-Muslim cuisine: steamed rice with a selection of curries and sides.

The heart is "kuah campur" - flooding the rice with several curry sauces so their flavours merge.
