Nasi Liwet
Coconut rice from Solo with sides
Nasi liwet is a fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk and chicken broth from the Javanese city of Solo.
It is traditionally served with shredded chicken, chayote curry, egg and a thick coconut cream called areh.

- Rice400 g
- Coconut milk400 ml
- Chicken300 g
- Lemongrass & bay leafsome of each
- Shallots & garlicsome of each
- Egg & chayotesome of each

Preparation
Cook the rice in coconut milk with lemongrass and bay.
Cook and shred the chicken with spices.
Cook chayote in coconut milk into a curry.
Boil the eggs.
Plate rice with chicken, chayote curry and egg.
