Nasi Uduk
Jakarta coconut rice
Nasi uduk is a fragrant coconut rice from Jakarta - rice steamed in coconut milk with bay, lemongrass and lime leaves.
It is classically served with fried shallots, tempeh, egg and sambal as a rich breakfast or main.

- Rice400 g
- Coconut milk400 ml
- Lemongrass2 stalks
- Lime leaves & baysome of each
- Fried shallotsto garnish

Preparation
Wash the rice and drain.
Set up with coconut milk, lemongrass, lime leaves and bay.
Bring to a boil until the liquid is absorbed.
Steam covered until done.
Serve scattered with fried shallots.
