Rice bowl with finely chopped tuna

Negitoro don is a Japanese rice bowl with finely chopped fatty tuna and spring onion.

The name combines negi for spring onion and toro for the fatty belly of the tuna.

Ingredients

  • Sushi rice300 g
  • Fatty tuna (sashimi grade)200 g
  • Spring onion2
  • Soy sauce2 tbsp
  • Wasabi & norisome of each
  • Sesame1 tbsp

Preparation

  1. Cook and season the sushi rice.

  2. Finely chop the tuna.

  3. Mix with chopped spring onion.

  4. Spread rice into bowls and top with tuna.

  5. Serve with soy sauce, wasabi, nori and sesame.
