Old-style Thai iced coffee

Oliang is a traditional Thai iced coffee brewed from a blend of coffee, corn and sesame.

Heavily sweetened and poured over plenty of ice, it is a refreshing street drink in tropical heat.

Ingredients

  • Oliang coffee powder4 tbsp
  • Sugar3 tbsp
  • Hot water400 ml
  • Crushed iceplenty
  • Cloth filter bag1

Preparation

  1. Put the coffee powder into the cloth filter.

  2. Brew with hot water and let it steep.

  3. Dissolve sugar in the hot coffee.

  4. Let it cool.

  5. Pour over plenty of ice and serve.
