Korean spring onion pancake

Pajeon is a savoury Korean pancake whose main ingredient is whole spring onions.

Fried crisp in oil, it is cut into pieces and served with a dipping sauce of soy sauce and vinegar.

Ingredients

  • Spring onions1 bunch
  • Wheat flour150 g
  • Egg1 piece
  • Iced water180 ml
  • Soy sauce & vinegarsome of each
  • Oil & sesamesome of each

Preparation

  1. Whisk flour, egg and iced water into a thin batter.

  2. Lay the spring onions in the hot pan.

  3. Pour the batter over and spread.

  4. Fry crisp on both sides.

  5. Cut into pieces and serve with the dip.
