Rolled pho sheets with beef

Phở cuốn comes from Hanoi's Tay Ho district and turns the wide pho rice sheets into fresh rolls.

Instead of in soup, the stir-fried beef is rolled with herbs into uncut rice sheets and dipped in sauce.

Ingredients

  • Fresh pho rice sheets12 pieces
  • Beef300 g
  • Garlic2 cloves
  • Lettuce & herbssome of each
  • Fish sauce & limesome of each
  • Chili & sugarsome of each

Preparation

  1. Stir-fry the beef hard and fast with garlic.

  2. Mix a dip of fish sauce, lime, sugar and chili.

  3. Top a rice sheet with lettuce, herbs and beef.

  4. Roll up tightly into rolls.

  5. Cut into pieces and serve with the dip.
