Grilled squid with seafood dip

Pla meuk yang is grilled squid, a popular snack on Thai beaches and at markets.

It comes with a spicy dip of chili, garlic, lime and fish sauce, the nam jim seafood.

Ingredients

  • Squid500 g
  • Chilies & garlicsome of each
  • Lime2
  • Fish sauce2 tbsp
  • Coriander1 bunch
  • Sugar1 tsp

Preparation

  1. Clean the squid and score it.

  2. Cook briefly on the grill.

  3. Chop chili, garlic and coriander.

  4. Stir with lime, fish sauce and sugar into a dip.

  5. Serve the squid with the dip.
