Tteokbokki meets instant noodles

Rabokki is a modern Korean combination of tteokbokki and ramyeon instant noodles in a sweet-spicy gochujang sauce.

The name fuses ramyeon and tteokbokki; the dish is a popular snack at Korean street stalls.

Ingredients

  • Rice cakes (tteok)300 g
  • Instant noodles1 pack
  • Gochujang2 tbsp
  • Gochugaru & sugar1 tbsp each
  • Fish cake (eomuk)100 g
  • Spring onion & eggsome of each

Preparation

  1. Boil gochujang, gochugaru and sugar with water.

  2. Add rice cakes and fish cake.

  3. Simmer until the rice cakes soften.

  4. Add the instant noodles and cook briefly.

  5. Serve with egg and spring onion.
