Potato patties on pea curry from Mumbai

Ragda pattice is a Mumbai street chaat in which crispy potato patties sit on a white pea curry.

Topped with chutneys, onions and sev, it brings together creamy, crunchy and tangy elements.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes500 g
  • White peas (ragda)200 g
  • Tamarind & mint chutneysome of each
  • Sev60 g
  • Onion & coriandersome of each
  • Chaat masala1 tsp

Preparation

  1. Cook the white peas soft and season.

  2. Boil potatoes, mash and form into patties.

  3. Pan-fry the patties until crisp.

  4. Spoon pea curry onto the plate, set patties on top.

  5. Top with chutneys, onions, sev and masala.
