Tissue-thin crispy flatbread with sugar

Roti tisu is a Malaysian variant of roti canai, stretched paper-thin and stacked into a cone.

Dusted with sugar, the crispy flatbread is often served as a sweet snack with tea.

Ingredients

  • Flour300 g
  • Ghee or margarine3 tbsp
  • Sugar3 tbsp
  • Condensed milk2 tbsp
  • Salt & watersome of each
  • Oil for stretchingsome

Preparation

  1. Knead the dough and rest it in oil.

  2. Stretch the dough ball paper-thin.

  3. Bake crisp on a hot griddle.

  4. Dust with sugar.

  5. Stack into a cone and serve.
