Tapioca pearls with peanuts for fasting days

Sabudana khichdi is an Indian dish of soaked tapioca pearls eaten on fasting days.

With roasted peanuts, potato and cumin it turns savoury and filling.

Ingredients

  • Tapioca pearls (sabudana)200 g
  • Roasted peanuts80 g
  • Potato1
  • Cumin & green chilisome of each
  • Lemon juice & coriandersome of each
  • Ghee or oil2 tbsp

Preparation

  1. Soak the tapioca pearls for several hours until soft.

  2. Pound the peanuts and mix in.

  3. Fry cumin and chili in ghee.

  4. Add diced potato and tapioca pearls.

  5. Cook until translucent and season with lemon.
