Sake

Japan's rice wine for sushi and umami

Sake is brewed from polished rice and is deeply rooted in Japanese culture. Despite the nickname “rice wine”, it is made by fermentation closer to brewing beer.

Its gentle umami and low acidity make it the ideal companion to sushi, sashimi and delicate broths – served chilled or warm.
