Steamed tapioca balls with pork filling

Sakoo sai moo are translucent Thai tapioca balls with a sweet and salty pork filling.

Peanuts, palm sugar and coriander root in the filling make them a beloved snack.

Ingredients

  • Small tapioca pearls200 g
  • Minced pork200 g
  • Roasted peanuts60 g
  • Palm sugar2 tbsp
  • Coriander root & garlicsome of each
  • Fish sauce1 tbsp

Preparation

  1. Bind the tapioca pearls into a dough with hot water.

  2. Fry pork with peanuts, palm sugar and spices.

  3. Flatten the dough and fill with the filling.

  4. Shape into balls.

  5. Steam for about 15 minutes until translucent.
