Burmese samosa salad

Samusa thoke is a Burmese salad in which cut-up samosas are tossed with chickpeas, onion and herbs.

A light curry broth, lime and chili bind the crisp and soft components into a popular street snack.

  • Vegetable samosas6 pieces
  • Cooked chickpeas150 g
  • Onion & tomato1 each
  • Light curry sauce200 ml
  • Lime & chilisome of each
  • Coriander & mintsome of each

Preparation

  1. Cut the samosas into bite-size pieces.

  2. Toss with chickpeas, onion and tomato.

  3. Pour warm curry sauce over.

  4. Season with lime and chili.

  5. Serve scattered with coriander and mint.
