Nepali marinated grilled skewers
Sekuwa are charcoal-grilled meat skewers, a popular street snack from Nepal, especially the Dharan region.
The meat is marinated with mustard oil, ginger, garlic and Nepali spices like timur (Sichuan pepper) and cooked over open embers.

- Chicken (cubed)600 g
- Mustard oil3 tbsp
- Ginger-garlic paste2 tbsp
- Ground cumin & coriander1 tsp each
- Timur (Sichuan pepper)1 tsp
- Chili powder & turmeric1 tsp each

Preparation
Mix mustard oil, paste and spices into a marinade.
Marinate the meat for several hours.
Thread onto skewers.
Grill over charcoal, turning, until cooked and smoky.
Serve with onions and lime.
