Clear beef and radish soup

Soegogi muguk is a plain, clear Korean soup of beef and white radish.

The long-cooked radish turns silky soft and sweet, while the beef lends the broth depth.

Ingredients

  • Beef (brisket)300 g
  • White radish400 g
  • Garlic3 cloves
  • Sesame oil1 tbsp
  • Soy sauce (soup soy)2 tbsp
  • Spring onion & saltsome of each

Preparation

  1. Cut the beef and radish into pieces.

  2. Fry both in sesame oil with garlic.

  3. Top up with water and simmer long.

  4. Season with soup soy sauce and salt.

  5. Serve with spring onion.
