Stinky Tofu
Fermented, fried tofu from Taiwan
Chou doufu, stinky tofu, is a famous Taiwanese night-market snack of fermented tofu with a pungent smell.
Crisply fried outside and soft within, it is served with pickled cabbage and a sweet-spicy sauce.

Ingredients
- Fermented tofu400 g
- Pickled cabbage150 g
- Chili sauce & soy saucesome of each
- Garlic2 cloves
- Sugar & vinegarsome of each
- Oil for fryingplenty

Preparation
Drain the fermented tofu and cube it.
Fry crisp on the outside in hot oil.
Mix chili sauce, soy sauce, sugar and garlic.
Plate the tofu with pickled cabbage.
Serve drizzled with the sweet-spicy sauce.
