Tamago sando is a Japanese sandwich of creamy egg salad between soft crustless milk bread.

Japanese mayonnaise and a hint of mustard make the filling especially velvety, a beloved convenience-store classic.

Ingredients

  • Eggs4
  • Japanese mayonnaise3 tbsp
  • Soft milk bread4 slices
  • Mustard1 tsp
  • Salt & peppersome of each
  • Buttersome

Preparation

  1. Hard-boil the eggs and let cool.

  2. Mash the eggs and mix with mayonnaise and mustard.

  3. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Spread the bread thinly with butter.

  5. Fill, cut off the crust and halve.
