Temaki

Hand-rolled sushi cones

Temaki are cone-shaped hand-rolled sushi made from a sheet of nori loosely rolled with rice and filling.

They are best rolled fresh at the table and eaten at once while the nori is still crisp.

Ingredients

  • Nori sheets8 pieces
  • Sushi rice400 g
  • Sashimi fish200 g
  • Cucumber & avocadosome of each
  • Wasabi & soy saucesome of each
  • Pickled gingersome

Preparation

  1. Cook the sushi rice and season with rice vinegar.

  2. Halve the nori sheets.

  3. Spread a little rice diagonally on the nori.

  4. Lay on fish, cucumber and avocado.

  5. Roll into a cone and eat at once.
