Tonjiru
Hearty pork miso soup
Tonjiru (also butajiru) is a rich miso soup with pork and plenty of root vegetables - a warming winter dish of Japan.
Unlike clear miso soup, it is a filling meal with radish, carrot, taro and leek.

- Pork belly (thin)200 g
- Radish & carrot300 g
- Taro or potato200 g
- Miso3 tbsp
- Dashi1 l
- Leek1 stalk

Preparation
Briefly sear the pork.
Add the vegetables and fry along.
Pour in dashi and simmer tender.
Reduce heat, stir in the miso.
Serve scattered with leek.
