Pork strips with pickled mustard stem

Zhacai rousi is a quick Chinese stir-fry of pork strips and pickled mustard stem.

The crunchy, salty-savoury zhacai gives the mild pork bite and depth.

Ingredients

  • Pork in strips250 g
  • Zhacai (pickled mustard stem)150 g
  • Spring onion2
  • Soy sauce & rice winesome of each
  • Cornstarch1 tsp
  • Oil2 tbsp

Preparation

  1. Marinate the pork with cornstarch and rice wine.

  2. Rinse the zhacai if too salty and cut into strips.

  3. Stir-fry the pork in a wok.

  4. Add the zhacai and fry along.

  5. Season with soy sauce and serve with spring onion.
